Things I'm Thankful For

With Thanksgiving just around the corner I was thinking about what I'm thankful for.  So here's my list (in no particular order).
I'm thankful for:
1. my family;  I love my husband and daughter so much (even though my little one has tantrums and loves to throw things)
2. good friends;  Ones that you might not talk to everyday but will always be good friends.
3. my parents;  they might not be perfect but they made me.
4. my in laws; they have excepted me into their home like their own daughter and supported my husband and I. My mother in law tells it like it is;  I might not agree with her all the time but you can always count on her to give the best advice.
5. my grandpa; he taught me to appreciate good music, be kind to everyone no matter their age or color, that love is much more powerful than anger, to forgive (no matter how hard or how much you don't want to), respect your elders (it's just how it's done), family is everything, and you can do anything you put your mind to; never give up.  {I love you grandpa, I wish you were here to see your great granddaughter grow up.  I miss you.}
6. I'm thankful that I've always had a roof over my head and we've always been able to provide for our daughter.
7. my health and the health of my loved ones.
8. freedom; I could not imagine living in a country that puts a limit on the sex of child I could have or believes that men have more rights then women.
9. work;  it's so hard to come by now a days. I'm glad I am able to help bring home the bacon (so to speak).
10. days off; sometimes you just need a break.  Although being a mom I don't get too many of those.

My first post...how exciting!

If you couldn't tell I'm very new to this blogging world that I've been trying to avoid. {Yes I gave in} So now that I'm here I guess I should let you know a little bit about myself. I'm a mom to a wonderful 19 month old and a wife to a very busy husband. I'm originally a Southern California girl now living in Washington State {I was prewarned about how different the weather was; let me tell you I could not have been warned enough!} Now living here for a year I've learned to love the weather in WA. I will say there is nothing like walking down the street and watching the red, orange. yellow, and green leaves falling. {It's a picture out of a book. Beautiful!} So you can say I've grown accustom to Washington weather. I am looking forward to moving back to Southern California one day.
My daughter was born in 2010 and it has been a wild ride ever since. She was born with lots of hair so I started making hair bows for her. Now my accessories are in stores and I can't wait to see where this adventure takes me. I hope you join me on this adventure.
